Today we’d like to introduce you to Alpha23.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am an artist, but I’ve had various roles in the music industry from management to promotions. I’ve worked with Artists including Akon & Ludacris and currently work with a large slate of independent artists. Over the last three years, I’ve dedicated my focus to the growth of my brand, Alpha23, and artist development. With all the changes occurring in the industry today, I’m continuing to educate myself for the music industry of tomorrow.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With all of the self-service tools that exist today, it is easy to assume that success in today’s music industry can come quickly. Unfortunately with all the new tools comes a great deal of subpar outcomes, overpriced services and scammers. So an inherent obstacle to success for any artist is careful research, fund allocation and effective return on investment.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a songwriter and performer. To date, I have over 2 million streams on Spotify alone.
I specialize in making extremely multi-layered music both lyrically and sonically. I’m very proud of the amount of people that have become fans of my music despite how early it is.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
I could spill a lot of ink on this topic, but Covid has fundamentally reshaped the entire music industry. I’ve learned the ways in which I can capitalize on that and continue to look to do so.
